Living and Dining
Each day at Brown brings nurturing experiences for the body, mind and spirit. Our staff members take pride in providing a warm, family-like atmosphere where each resident feels comfortable to be who they are: An important member of a community where they belong.
Activities You Won't Want to Miss
Our activities director keeps our social calendar exciting. From recurring resident favorites, to festive holiday celebrations and one-of-a-kind experiences, activities take place all day, and everyone’s invited. We enjoy regular visits from a local saxophone player. Our fall festival invites children from the local schools. Bible studies, religious services, games and sittercize always draw a crowd. Small groups, larger gatherings, and one-on-one visits provide plenty of options for residents with a variety of physical abilities, cognitive needs and social preferences.
Resident Favorites, Served Fresh Daily
Mexican casserole one night. Grilled steaks the next. At Brown, we constantly update our menu to meet the taste preferences and dietary needs of our residents. Our Dietary Manager regularly consults with our Residents’ Council to learn about resident favorites and new requests. Our meals are prepared to be flavorful, balanced and nutritious; and we accommodate residents with special diets at every meal.
An Atmosphere of Personal Attention
The personal, homelike atmosphere we cultivate at Brown is one of the best-known qualities of our community. That’s because every staff member contributes personal touches in their own way to make residents feel special. Each of our 68 beds provides a semiprivate personal retreat close to comfortable common areas for socializing, personal hobbies, group activities and relaxation.
